The Indian diaspora, especially those that follow the Vedic tenets, is growing in the UK over the past few decades. Almost all of them have migrated for economic reasons which lead to the labyrinthine of the material world leaving little time for traditions and rituals as prescribed in the Vedic tenets.
As the years roll by, realisation sets in that material pursuits (artha & kAma) are transient yet needed, there is an awakening to return to the roots (dharma & Moksha) which dictates a higher pursuit to break the cycle of life and death.
Already a thousand years ago, Sri Ramanuja (aka) Emperumanar showed us the path of such a higher pursuit through the exposition of VishishtAdvaita philosophy and that service is eternal.
